Why does Slagle accept sessions by application?
Slagle accepts a limited number of new sittings each season so that every shoot gets full attention — pre-production, location scouting, and a careful edit. The application keeps the schedule honest.
Who gets accepted?
There is no fixed criterion. Slagle reads each application personally and accepts the projects he feels he can do justice to. Editorial assignments, brand campaigns, personal portraits, and one-of-a-kind commissions are all considered.
How long does it take to hear back?
Most applications receive a personal reply within two business days. Editorial and press deadlines are flagged and prioritized.
Is there an application fee?
No. Applying is free. If accepted, a 50% deposit holds your date once the agreement is signed.
Can I apply for the studio rental instead?
Yes — the Post Road Loft has a separate, lighter inquiry process. Email gjohn@slaglevideo.com with the date, shoot type, and crew size.
